The equipment shelters are built indoors in the factory before they are transported to the base station site. Esari Oy's factory is an interesting place as its 1400 m2 hall is actually a house factory in a miniature size - with all kinds and sizes of shelters being under contruction at any time. Every product is manufactured in accordance with the customer's specifications as to the product's colouring, type, and fittings.
It takes about 4-5 days to build an equipment shelter, depending on its size. When it is ready, a trailer-truck with a powerful hoist will lift it on. One trailer-truck can transport 3-6 shelters at a time, depending on the size of the shelters. When bigger shelters are beings transported, the truck is escorted by a car carrying a warning that there is a wide load (over 3.5 m) coming soon.
At the base station site, the equipment shelter is lifted onto the foundation that has been built by the customer. If needed, Esari Oy can also supply the footings and have them mounted. In summertime, the shelter is washed after assembly if it got dirty during the transport. In wintertime, the shelter is covered with plastic during transport and the plastic is removed after the shelter has been put in its place.
